A Godfrey woman is accused of running a stop sign and crashing into another car while driving in Alton.
Raymond Kuetemann filed a lawsuit against Candace Williams May 24 in Madison County Circuit Court.
Kuetemann says he was driving west on College Avenue/Illinois Route 140 in June 2011. At the intersection of Seminary Street, Williams, who was driving north, allegedly failed to yield at the stop sign and crashed into Kuetemann’s car.
Kuetemann claims he was hurt in the crash and accuses Williams of negligence. He seeks a judgment of more than $50,000 in damages for medical bills, lost wages and court fees.
Attorney James P. Leonard of St. Louis represents Kuetemann. They ask for a jury trial.
